Welcome to my website! I’m Thomas. I graduated in 2023 from the KU Leuven (Belgium) with a BSc and MSc in Engineering Science from the department of Computer Science, specialised in Artificial Intelligence. My master’s thesis was on the topic of fundamental problems with popular subword tokenisers in language modelling.

Big fan of LaTeX typesetting, although this website is entirely powered by Markdown (and CSS magic behind the scenes). I’ve also been into amateur photography for a decade, and am currently shooting mirrorless (long history with my trusty Panasonic Lumix G7, now learning to master the Sony Alpha 7CII).

The “au” in my surname is pronounced like the “a” in “bra”, and the “e” is pronounced like the “u” in “unreal”. Surround those sounds by B–W–NS, and you’ve got it!
